It was first made available for digital download and was rated no. In late June of 2010, after much fanfare and anticipation, Parkway drive released Deep Blue, thier third album. In April of 2010 they announced they had finished their new album and in May they released a track list and revealed the album title. The band started recording their third album in 2009, playing preview track "Unrest" on their European tour. Parkway Drive released their live DVD in August of 2009. The band continued to tour, playing in Japan and headlining in the US and then coming back in 2009 to tour Australia. While performing at the UNSW Roundhouse in 2008 the band announced they were filming a DVD of the show. In December the band toured Australia with the "Sweatfest" tour.

The tour travelled to towns usually bypassed by the major festivals with the aim being to surf the best spots along the way. The band once again toured Australia, Europe and the USA.Įarly 2008 saw Parkway Drive and friends 50 Lions and Word Up! team up for the Surf Rats Tour of the east coast of Australia.

Late in 2007 Horizons was officially released to critical acclaim, receiving a 10/10 from Blunt Magazine and debuting at no.6 on the Aria charts. Parkway Drive were invited to tour the US with the Warped tour, the only Australian act to feature on the tour. Both tracks would appear on their next album, Horizons. In 2007 the band previewed a song in London, called "The Siren's Song" then later on triple j's show, Winston McCall previewed "Boneyards". Becoming a permanent part of the line-up, he played with them for the rest of their first international tour in the United Kingdom and Europe, and later in the United States. The band soon found a replacement in long-time friend, Jia "Pie" O'Connor. In May 2006, bass player Shaun Cash left the band for personal reasons. The band toured nationally and internationally with the album, playing numerous headlining shows and appearing at the 2006 Gold Coast Big Day Out, Sound Fest, Soundwave, Homebake, and Gravity G festivals before returning to Europe. Their debut album, Killing With A Smile was released halfway through 2005. In 2005 they went to the USA to record their debut album with Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz. They accumulated a loyal following Australia-wide, due to their numerous supports for international acts such as Hatebreed, In Flames, Chimaira, Shadows Fall, As I Lay Dying, Bleeding Through, Alexisonfire, and festival perormances at Metal for the Brain 2005 and Australia's Hardcore 2005. They released a solo EP Don't Close Your Eyes in the same year.
